Across the Tasman Sea, in a New Zealand garage, a missile project is taking shape.

Do-it-yourself handyman Bruce Simpson says he’s constructing a missile in his shed near Auckland with parts bought over the Internet and shipped through New Zealand customs.

He says anyone with half a brain could do the same. “You don’t have to be a rocket scientist.”

Full article, a few years old, here.  Well, it may be true that a do-it-yourselfer in New Zealand can aspire to build a cruise missile, but sooner or later he’s going to have to contend with his wife telling him to fix the leaky roof or clean the gutters.
