Yes, friends, the revolution will be televised after all. Elizabeth Vargas will host an ABC news special, Last Days on Earth, on August 30. If the world is by chance destroyed on August 22, however, ABC will instead be airing re-runs of Desperate Housewives in that August 30 time-slot. On the ABC website:
Watch “Last Days on Earth,” a special 2-hour edition of “20/20,” Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 9 p.m.
For thousands of years, different religions have warned Earth about Armageddon and the final days.
We are now living in an age where scientists are adding their voices and their evidence in support of end-of-the-world possibilities.
“Last Days on Earth” is a program that could change the way you see your world and yourself.
The world’s top scientists, including Stephen Hawking, considered the foremost living theoretical physicist, describe seven riveting scenarios detailing the deadliest threats to humanity.

There is man’s interpretation of The Revelation, and there is the Holy Spirit’s interpretation giving God’s meaning. Armageddon is not at all what man is teaching it to be, because man interprets from a worldly perspective. Perhaps, you might be interested in an article I recently posted here about Armageddon: a spiritual interpretation: http://www.bonnieq.wordpress.com
Nevertheless, thank you for posting this information about the presentation 20/20 will be airing. I like to keep up with what is being put out there that paves the road to man’s utter destruction, while hoping I can slip in the Truth to at least one person; “literally snatching him or her from the fire.”
Much love in Christ, BonnieQ

So much hooey. People should worry about living their lives instead of how it may or may not end. The media only plays into people’s fears and creates hype.

Gosh darn and I missed it!

#3. I don’t worry about living my life. But in order to live my life with a purpose I need to feel my life counts for something. People impact my life, and hopefully I impact theirs. Everyone knows there’s good and evil in this world. I agree the media plays into people’s fears, but people are afraid because there’s an element of truth in dramas like these. We all know the world can’t go on the way it is forever. We are headed for something. If TV makes people think about current conditions, and people like BonnieQ are being used by the Holy Spirit to point them into a directon that will make them seek truth, then they will realize there’s nothing to be afraid of anymore. WE all know there’s something BIGGER than us. Every sect, cult, nation, worships SOMETHING. As a christian, I know and see the bigger picture, and I put my faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible is right on in telling mankind what to expect in the “last days”. I’m not going to live forever on Earth, but I AM going to live forever, somewhere, and so will you.

#5. You have your belief and I have mine. You say, “We all know the world can’t go on the way it is forever. We are headed for something.” Well, yes, the world can go on the way it is forever and it has. There have always been natural disasters and religious wars and murder and mayhem and birth and life and love and happiness. That is life and the time we spend here on earth is very finite. I personally believe the science of earth is more telling than the religion of earth. You state, “WE all know there’s something BIGGER than us. Every sect, cult, nation, worships SOMETHING.” Well, I would prefer if you didn’t speak for me and my beliefs. That is where trouble lies, when you start lumping everyone together into your handy little package of religious beliefs. I know the EARTH is bigger than me and my responsibility lies in taking care of the EARTH in the best way I can. But to say I WORSHIP SOMETHING, well….go worship whatever you worship and leave me out of it. Thanks!

And a side note to Quay Fortuna – sorry about clogging up your comments section here, but that “viber” person didn’t have a link back to their site. I had to make my opinion known! 🙂 Thanks.

#9 I did have a link back to my own site. There are several interesting things on here that I thought I was allowed to jump in on. I guess I’m not. Sorry if I offended you. That wasn’t my intention. You go right ahead a believe your science if you want to. One thing I’ve learned about these sites, is that you encounter the very rude and hurtful people. Nothing is worth this.

I seem to have forgotten one of the causes, and it’s driving me insane not knowing what it is. I know so far(not in order): Gamma Radiation, Black Hole, Supervolcano, AI, and Nuclear War. Help?
Oh, and Mom just pointed out, there are seven ways civilization will be wiped out, just like the seven deadly sins. I don’t really see the connection, but hey.
September 3, 2006 at 11:09 pm
For the seven causes, see my subsequent post, What Would You Do With Your ‘Last Days’?.

This show was very very educational and eye-opener. Some deadly threats are shown to be preventable. I feel everyone has to take some responsibility to avoid this happening to humanity. I myself believe refuse, reduce and recycle helps some. Soon after my wife baught gas guzzler expensive Lexus. I countered by getting a PRIUS. I know it costs more, but it helps encvoirnment. That’s one more way help the humanity.

I used to have this lost feeling and could not stand scripture. Then life got real. I almost died a few times and met Jesus. I saw the other side. The whole experience was dramatic. It seems as though the earth experience is full of judjement and while there I experienced total forgiveness, power, love and wisdom…people limit themselves and tie themselves to the natural. The supernatural is all around us…and anyone can tap into that power of truth…fear keeps us stuck…the mystery of life is baffling…and there is a reason to be here. For me it is to learn from my challenges and to grow in spiritual assests..and prepare for eternity..life is a mere 70-100 yrs…eternity is forever! Wherever you are and whatever you are learning can always be a good thing!

YES! You are right on target! This is exactly the experience I am talking about on the other thread. I’d love to talk with you about it.

Hi BJ:
It’s nice to know their is someone who understands what I’ve been through.
For me to live today, after my experience, is awesome. Though I do expect more out of myself. I am constantly challenged to grow in humility and courage. As far as faith goes-mine is 100 percent. I have no fears regarding where I am going, just a realization of my own responsibility towards myself and others.
I have realized we are all connected. We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience. This is a chance to grow and prepare for our eternity. We all live forever. We will recognize each other not by color or body, but by the eyes. The “eyes are the window to the soul’ I think the biggest lesson I have learned is humility, forgiveness, and that we are pretty much stuck in the middle on this earth between good and evil. Along with these things having some sense of humor helps.
